Shinn Asano releases 6 piece collection of steel furniture called Sen, which turns 2D lines into 3D forms. The Sen furniture series has been created with lines that minimize excess to express both form and functionality in a range of applications. Manufactured at a wire works in Tokyo, this is a furniture series that expresses the skill and attention to detail of Japanese craftsmanship in every item, by incorporating the unique aspects of traditional Japanese craft, patterns, hieroglyphs and nuances into the design. 同じカタチの直角三角形を上から見ると日本の伝統模様である籠目模様のカタチに組み合わせ、お互いに支え合う構造によって成立したスツールです。室内はもちろん、屋外でもご使用いただけます。
Kagome stool is made from 18 right angle triangles that support each other and when viewed from above forms the traditional Japanese craft pattern kagome moyou. On the drawing board, Asano felt that perfect form is not necessarily perfect, so the stool has been intentionally created with one of the triangles slightly out of place. The stool is suitable for use indoors and out.

竹細工で籠をつくるとき、まず、底面をつくります。amihajime tableは、その形状を丸い輪に垂らして、中央に穴の空いた丸い天板を乗せることで成立した棚のついたローテーブルです。中央の丸い穴を通して棚に花器やオブジェなどを置いて楽しむことができます。
When making a basket in bamboo craft, you always start by making the base first. This low table came into being by putting a circular ring onto that form (base of a basket) and then placing a table top with a hole in the middle for a vase or other ornament.

nobolu hanger standは、象形文字の形状から着想を得たハンガースタンドです。下部は草を、中央は太陽を、上部は木を表し日が昇るという意味を持たせました。上部にはコートや帽子などを、中央部にはマフラーやストールなどを掛けることができます。
This is a hanger stand inspired by the shapes of Japanese hieroglyphs. The bottom is grass, the middle is the sun, and the top is a tree, meaning that the sun is rising.
